Broadly speaking, NetOwl offers an array of deployment options for our products to match the requirements of any customer. The two major options include on premise installation and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Our tradition of providing robust, scalable software for installation within our customer’s technical enterprise remains the preferred delivery model for many classes of customers. From customers with modest data processing requirements who can most effectively deploy and manage our products/capabilities on a single server, to large public and private sector enterprises who due to data sensitivities of various kinds want total control of their data, NetOwl software can be installed, configured, and maintained by on-site staff with a minimum of effort. On premises installations include installation in a variety of environments including:
- Single server
- Multi-server/cluster deployments (including Hadoop)
- Private “on-site” cloud deployments
Another common deployment model for NetOwl software is through Software as a Service (SaaS). SaaS models publish well-defined interfaces for existing software processes to interact with network-based services exposed by the NetOwl products. NetOwl offers SaaS through services hosted on publically accessible clouds such as Amazon EC2. NetOwl’s SaaS offerings provide dynamic, elastic scaling across the available cloud resources to satisfy customer throughput and latency requirements. Several large organizations have also deployed their own SaaS capabilities inside their firewall, offering NetOwl services to any number of different processes within the enterprise. This hybrid of on premises installation with SaaS access provides the right combination of security and broad availability for these organizations.
